Who IS AHMERE?

Ahmere Harper is a passionate storyteller and creative visionary working at the intersection of digital strategy, content creation, and journalism. As a senior journalism major and film studies minor at Hampton University, she leverages media and storytelling to inspire, connect, and drive change. Ahmere is a Next Gem Femme mentee, ColorComm HBCU Fellow, and was selected from over 700 submissions as a 2026 Fashion Scholarship Fund and Virgil Abloh “Post-Modern” Scholar for her innovative cross-industry marketing case study.

Harper is an active campus and creative leader. As President and Campus Correspondent of HerCampus Hampton U, she was recognized as Creative of the Week in The Creative Collective NYC’s IYKYK series for leading the first in-person HerHBCU Conference, connecting students with professionals for networking and growth. She serves as Onyx 13 Senior Class Representative of The Organizational Board and is in the Greer Dawson Wilson Student Leadership Training Program. In 2024, she co-directed Hampton University's Homecoming Fashion Show, overseeing production, development, and logistics.

Her entrepreneurial and service work reflects her commitment to community and culture. She co-founded Found Novarre, a multidisciplinary creative agency blending storytelling, fashion, and strategic brand development. She also founded The GALS Mentorship Program, which provides mentorship, leadership training, and resources to girls ages 13 to 17 through partnerships with organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club.

Harper’s industry experience includes internships with Hearst Media Production Group and Digital Brand Architects, supporting media production, influencer marketing, and brand partnerships. Skilled in writing, multimedia production, creative direction, and digital strategy, she crafts compelling narratives and innovative campaigns. She is committed to amplifying underrepresented voices by connecting culture, creativity, and communication.

Harper plans to build her career as a creative producer and strategist, grow her agency, and develop editorial and film projects that highlight diverse narratives and advance representation in media. She aims to shape a more inclusive media landscape through storytelling that challenges norms and empowers future generations.
